Module:1 Introduction to Financial Markets
In this Module we start with a summary of Capital Markets, how us as investors could take advantage of them to generate investments opportunities and to recognize the advantages and risk associated with them.
We will go over the Stock Market, Bond Markets, Money Markets, Derivatives Markets, Forex market and their roles in the global economy.

Module 2: Derivatives and Option Contracts
In this Module we start to built a solid foundation towards understanding how options work and all the terminology you need to know to trade them. After completing this Module, you will have a clear knowledge about What Derivatives and options are and their uses, you will also be familiar with the two type of options, Puts and Calls, the terminology of standardized options, and all the basic concepts to get introduced to stock options.
Module 3: Stock Options Basics
In this Module you will learn the terminology and basic components of options. This introduction to stock options is crucial to learn the most basic but important concepts about options contracts, we will be building a strong foundation required for more complex concepts about options. You will be able to identify the information you’ll need to place your option orders, and where you might find it.
Module 4: Options Pricing and Dynamics
The goal of this module is to introduce the student to the factors that affect any listed equity option’s price in the marketplace. You will get familiar with concepts like Intrinsic Value, Time Value, Time Decay and Volatility.
Module 5: Key concepts: Delta, Gamma, Theta
In this module we will learn about a few important concepts that affect the price and the dynamics of options. We will introduce the “Greeks”, Delta, Gamma, Theta. Their implication in option dynamics, where to find them and how to use them in your favor when selecting the best options for your trading strategy.
Module 6: Directional Trading Strategies
In this Module we will explore two basic but powerful strategies to design directional trades.
The benefits of a long Call or Put position are explained along with profit potential, loss potential, break-even point, the effects of volatility change and the passage of time. We will use this strategy to speculate and sell the long call contracts to close the trade before expiration date.

Module 7: Identifying trade opportunities
This module will begin the practical side of options trading and finally we are at the point where we can trade options. We will give you a structure to follow in order to design a good trade and profit the most from your thesis. Key concepts for every trader will be introduced to create best practices and a good risk management discipline.
Module 8: Trade Design Workshop – Convex Simulator
At Convex institute we have developed a trade design tool to help you pick the best option to profit the most form your trading thesis. We will introduce the Convex simulator and trade design, a tool that will help you identify profits and correct strikes and expirations, this is available to all the students.
Module 9: What’s Next? Intro to the Wolf Level
In this module we will guide you through all the tools and educational material available in the Convex institute so you can continue your education journey in options trading. From theoretical education, to new workshops and trading simulations from our instructors. We will also introduce you to the next level of the cycle and what to expect from the intermediate level.
